*ACM will reserve spots for girls in robotics camps. If these spots are not filled they will be released six weeks before the first day of camp.

Robotics Inventions
For kids completing grades 1-3 - CAMP FULL

Inventors of all experience levels are invited to learn how to program working robotic inventions using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT! Work as a team to design creative solutions to brain-teasing challenges, explore the world with sensors, and learn that YOU are the brains behind the whole operation! This hands-on camp is a great self-esteem builder and tons of fun.

New! Mythical Machines (Girl Scouts)
June 9-13 at Girls Scouts Lone Star Program Council Center
ACM has teamed up with Girl Scouts to offer Mythical Machines, a robotics-based summer camps for girls completing grades 4-6. Recreate the machines from Greek mythology, from an underwater explorer that Poseidon may have used to a maze traveler that Athena herself may have put together, all using LEGO Robotics!  For more info and to register, contact Girl Scouts at 512-453-7391.

How to register for Robotics Inventions (Mythical Machines registration is through Girl Scouts)
Registration begins Jan. 29 for Members and Feb. 12 is open registration.

Register at the Museum Office window during operating hours or call (512) 472-2499 x201 to register with a credit card. VISA, MC, AMEX accepted. Cash and checks are accepted in person. If you would like to become a Member at the time of registration, you will receive the Member price.

After payment is received, we will mail a confirmation packet with phone numbers, medical release and information forms with program details.

Please note: Payment is required to hold a spot. We regret that we cannot hold any spots, for any length of time, while waiting for a payment to arrive. Spots fill very quickly, so note that registrations that are mailed in, emailed, faxed or left on the answering machine may not be received in time to secure a spot. To secure a spot, call with a credit card during office hours (9am-5pm weekdays) and speak with our Reservationist (x201), or come to the Museum in person with a check or cash.

Cancellation Policy
A non-refundable processing fee of $25 is included in the price of camp tuition. If you withdraw from a camp program 15 or more business days before the start of the camp, you will receive a full refund, minus the $25 processing fee. If you withdraw from a camp program 14 or fewer business days before the start of the camp, for ANY reason, you will receive a partial refund, ONLY if we can fill your spot from the waiting list before the first day of the camp. If we can fill your spot, you will receive a flat refund of $100 for full day camp, and a flat refund of $50 for half day camp.

Deadline is March 30, 2008. Scholarships will be awarded on April 15. Scholarships are funded by the Museum's Open Door initiative.

Curb-side pick up
ACM will continue to offer curb-side pick up as long as the current downtown development will allow, but it cannot be guaranteed for all camps.

If minimum enrollments are not met, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule camps. If this occurs, your entire tuition will be refunded. Activities and field trips mentioned are subject to change without notice.
