A small group of enthusiastic parents and educators founded The Austin Children’s Museum in 1984 as a “Museum without Walls”. As a privately funded nonprofit 501c(3) institution, the Austin Children's Museum relies on the generosity of its friends and supporters to create innovative learning experiences for children and families that equip and inspire the next generation of problem solvers through charitable giving.
Through on-going community support from our friends who make annual donations, endowment gifts, sponsorships, and in-kind gifts, the Museum has grown into an institution with tremendous impact. When you contribute, you are making an investment not only in the Museum, but in the Austin community and in each child we serve. Whether you are looking to support the Museum as an individual or on behalf of a corporation, association, or foundation, there are several ways in which YOU can help.
Ways to Give:
Annual Gifts
Annual gifts provide the resources for exhibit development, innovative educational programming, Open Door Access outreach programs and flexible funds to enable the Museum to respond quickly to unique opportunities.
Special Gifts
Special gifts bring special projects and initiatives of the Museum into reality. Special gifts might include presentation of a feature exhibit, a semi-permanent exhibit, an endowment gift to provide long-term program support or support a staff position or special education initiative.
Get Involved:
Special Events
Special Events at ACM include donor appreciation events, events for ACM Clubhouse member recruitment and recognition, Museum Member events, exhibit openings, benefit events and events celebrating special occasions. These events bring our community of supporters together to celebrate the work of the Museum in the Austin community.
Volunteer
Give the gifts of time and talent. Numerous volunteer opportunities to fit every schedule are available for adults, corporate teams, college students and teenagers. Learn more about how you can get involved in delivering the mission of the Museum.
