Planning your annual get together? Or are you just thinking about a unique family reunion, corporate event or special birthday party? Then look no further! The Austin Children’s Museum can customize a sleep over to suit your interests and needs! We offer hands-on activities and experiences, make-and-take crafts, projected movies on the big screen, free play in the Museum, and scavenger hunts geared to your specific requests, not to mention the pizza and soda! Below are just some ideas to get you started:

Late Night Sock Hop or Pajama Party
It’s back to the 50’s for a night of fun and dancing! Your guests can come in costume and dance the night away to boogie woogie music.

Dinosaur Mania
For the little ones, it’s a dino party! We’ll make dino masks, dig for bones, and make dino tooth necklaces!

Cooking with Science and Math
You’ll make and eat several tasty treats while learning math and science concepts!

Bats!
Our furry Austin neighbors - Includes making cute bat costumes and walking over to watch the bats come out over the 6th street bridge at dusk!

Grossology!
Learn about health and the human body through such gross activities as making fake snot, growing smelly microbes, covering yourself in fake wounds and making edible fake vomit!

Science Sleuth
Can include gooey polymers, recycled paper making, shocking electricity experiments, and pom pom catapults!

Archaeology/Paleontology/Egyptology
Can include piecing together broken pots, making cave paintings, bone excavation techniques (small scale), making a mummy, and hieroglyphics

Cultural Themes from all around the world
Pick one area or culture, or request up to four (includes several cultural performers/presenters!)

Theatre and Drama
Including costume dress up, makeup, learning stage combat from a professional, and writing and performing your own plays!

Future and High Tech
An introduction to all of the latest, hottest science including biotechnology, nanotechnology, and hands-on computer dissection.

Water and Fish
Includes fish printing with real fish! Also water cycle, water use and conservation, and exploration of the properties of water.

Forests and Trees
Including recycled paper making and owl pellet dissection.

Crime Solving Science
Including fingerprint identification and evidence testing.

Buildings, Bridges, and Structures
Including designing and testing many different kinds of structures.

History
Can include Austin history, Texas history, women's history, family history and history of technology.

General Info:
• A minimum of 50 paying participants is required for all sleepovers (maximum negotiable).
• A ratio of one adult to every ten children is recommended. Adults must sleep over as well.
• Participants must bring own bedding.
• Cost is $25 per person, with a bonus of two people free per every 50.
