Going Batty! – September 29, 2006
Spend the night going batty at the Austin Children's Museum! Make your own bat costume and wear it to the Congress Ave Bridge at sundown to see millions of Austin's bats fly out into the night! Other activities include making your own pet bat to take home, going on a bat scavenger hunt, and watching a batty video projected in the theater. Come fly with us!

Theater Fans Badge (offered three times)
Create your very own theatrical production and complete your badge! You and your friends will explore theatre make up, costumes, scenery, acting techniques, and maybe even stage combat, while writing, and finally performing, your very own troop play!

Making It Matter Badge (offered twice)
Become a troop of engineers as you build a paper bridge that can hold 100 pennies, grab a graduated cylinder and make two kinds of gloppy, sloppy, polymers, learn about shapes to make 10 foot structures out of newspaper, and more!

Math Whiz Badge – November 17, 2006
Try our exciting math activities and see why math is so much fun! Learn math magic tricks to try on your friends, go on a numbered scavenger hunt, measure your body proportions, decode secret messages, and more!

Science Sleuth or Discovery Badge – February 9-10, 2007
Have fun with your troop as you try hands-on science activities including solving a science scavenger hunt, having a hair raising experience with the static machine, creating a catapult, and making your own paper!

Discovering Technology Badge – February 23-24, 2007
Go back to the future and join us at this one-of-a-kind sleepover! Take apart old computers to see what’s inside; explore biotechnology by making (and eating!) yeast pretzels, think “tiny” as you learn about nanotechnology, and more!

Admission includes:
*Overnight stay at the Austin Children’s Museum
*Rotation through 4-5 guided activity stations providing activities and experiences totally fulfilling the specified badge
*Patch from the GS-LSC
*Pizza dinner and healthy breakfast
