Did you know that by attending Storytime, you’re getting much more than just a fun activity? Storytime is a wonderful way for your child to acquire and develop literacy skills that lay important groundwork for learning to read.
Storytime helps a child develop their imagination, discover new ideas, refine listening and attention skills, exposes them to a larger vocabulary, encourages a love of reading, models good oral reading skills, introduces and reinforces concepts such as colors, shapes, letters, and so much more.
So listen for the drums and follow the parade to Storytime every day at Austin Children's Museum!
Storytime is offered every day from Tuesday - Saturday at 11am, 1pm and 3pm in the Global City Library. On Wednesday Community Nights there is an additional Storytime at 6pm. Sunday Storytimes are at 1pm and 3pm.
