Can you build a table from newspaper that could hold a heavy book? Or design an electrical circuit that could power fans, lights and motors? Or create a contraption that carries a ball down a zip line in 4 seconds? Join the Austin Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Central Texas Discover Engineering and Austin Children’s Museum in a day of engineering fun based on the hands-on, design challenges from the popular PBS TV show, Design Squad!

These real world design and building experiences will give visitors an opportunity to see engineering as problem-solving, build science and math skills, and increase interest and motivation to participate in engineering activities later in life.
