Absolutely Incredible Kid Day with Camp Fire USA
All ages
Join Camp Fire USA Balcones Council for Absolutely Incredible Kids Day! It's a national, letter-writing campaign encouraging adults to write letters of love and support to the children in their lives. Stationary will be provided. We'll also celebrate Camp Fire's 100th birthday with birthday cake, crafts, activities, and information about Camp Fire in Austin. Enjoy the outdoor skills booth, state of Texas booth, dreamcatchers booth, take a Museum scavenger hunt and more!
The Camp Fire USA Balcones Council has been serving the youth of Central Texas for over 40 years. Through service learning opportunities and hands-on experiences with leadership and outdoor skills, the youth learn more than just how to build a campfire ... they gain the life long skills of confidence, integrity, responsibility and tolerance.
Camp Fire USA Balcones Council is a not-for-profit coeducational youth organization that serves 10 counties in Central Texas: Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, De Witt, Hays, Lavaca, Llano, Travis and Williamson. They provide youth ages five to seventeen opportunities to learn in small groups with peers and adults, explore the natural world in outdoor programs and take on leadership opportunities within the community and world at large. The cirriculum is based on developing the whole child and strengthening the family through diverse service-learning programs.
