Ages 4-6
Looking for a unique and fun learning and socialization experience for your 4-6 year old? Try our half-day camps! Kids will do experiments, make arts & crafts, learn to work as a team, cooperate and share in an informal, yet structured environment (1:5 ratio). Activities may include Storytime, snack time, arts, science activity stations, music and movement, guided imagining and free play in the Museum.

Under the Sea

We’ll explore waves, bubbles, properties of water, sand, shells, whales, turtles, and sharks through imaginative math, science, literature, and drama activities. We’ll take on bridge and tower building challenges, use levers to design moveable puppets and construct fantastic paper structures. Make fantastic fizzes and slimy surprises, mix your own colors, build mini rockets and cook up biotic treats! Everything kitchen helpers need to hone their cooking AND math skills! On-site Full Day Camp
Ages 7-10
Kids will look forward to field trips* to exciting places, experiencing innovative hands-on activities, eating lunch in the park, watching a topical educational video and playing in the Museum! Our teachers will keep your kids engaged and safe, with a 1:6 ratio, while they explore and learn. *Field trip destinations are subject to availability. In the event a field trip is cancelled it will be replaced with a similiar trip.

Eco Explorers
March 15 - 19 SPRING BREAK
Keep Austin green!  We’ll explore things kids can do to make an impact. Field trips will take us to the Botanical Gardens, the Austin Zoo and Whole Foods where we’ll learn about sustainable farming!  Back at ACM we’ll do our part to help the planet by making a mechanical trash grabber, a homemade water filter and art from recycled materials! Girls rule the Museum this week! Experience different science careers in our hands-on camp. Field trips will take you to meet inspiring role models at UT labs and in the Austin science community. Then we’ll head back to ACM to try all the science out for ourselves by inventing contraptions to help the planet, designing a hidden alarm and making a mood reader! Register now

Design, invent, and build! Field trips will include UT, where we may visit the Chemical Engineering lab, the Nanoscience Center and the Aerospace Engineering department. Back at ACM we’ll design a confetti launcher, build a shelter that can survive a storm, use a zip line to hit a target, and much more! We’ll work in teams to take on real-world challenges, all while honing creative problem solving skills. Register now

Growing gumshoes will love discovering the mystery behind science, and the science behind mystery!  We’ll sharpen our logic and detective skills by starting each day with a riddle. Field trips may include the Driskill Hotel where we’ll investigate its haunting history, and AMOA where we’ll learn some of art’s best kept secrets. Back at ACM we’ll refine our problem solving skills by cracking codes, finding fingerprints, exploring optical illusions and more! We’ll wrap up our week by working together to collect clues and solve a real mystery! Register now

On the Move

Discover all the commotion behind motion! Learn all about how things move, and where they get their energy. We’ll play with pulleys to make a table top elevator, try to slow down a marble with friction and learn about animation by making our own zoetropes! Field trips may include exploring energy at City Hall, discovering how bacteria move at the UT Biology Lab and performing speed experiments on the rides at Kiddie Acres.
