Austin Children's Museum Welcomes New Board Members

Austin, Texas (May 14, 2007) — Jed Buie, Chris Kaine, and Robyn Molloy were welcomed as new members of the Austin Children’s Museum’s Board of Directors this month. The three new members bring years of experience in public relations, financial and risk management, sales, and community leadership.
 
As President of Martin & Salinas Public Affairs, Inc., Jed Buie, has been in the public relations/public affairs arena for over seven years. Prior to joining Martin & Salinas, Buie was Vice President of Public Affairs for TateAustin. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau and is a graduate of Leadership Austin and the LeadershipAcademy for Public Service.
 
Chris Kaine brings over 20 years of financial and risk management experience to the ACM Board of Directors. Kaine, Senior Vice President of Willis, holds an MBA in finance and management from UCLA. He serves on the audit committee of the Seton Family of Hospitals, chairs the communications committee of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd and is an officer of the Central Texas Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
 
Robyn Malloy worked in high tech sales for local companies including VTEL and Polycom before taking her current full-time position as stay at home mom. Malloy remains active in the community and serves with Meals on Wheels, the Lance Armstrong Foundation, and Fertile Hope.
 
The mission of Austin Children's Museum is to create innovative learning experiences for children and families that equip and inspire the next generation of creative problem solvers. Located at the DellDiscoveryCenter downtown at the corner of 2nd Street and Colorado, the Austin Children's Museum is one of the city’s popular cultural attractions with 200,000 visitors annually. The Austin Children's Museum is a non-profit 501c3 organization and all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
