Austin, Texas (July 23, 2009) — It’s cool to be a geek. Austin Children’s Museum was named one of the “100 Geeky Places to Take Your Kids this Summer” on a July 15 GeekDads blog post on Wired.com. The international list included venues like the New York Hall of Science and Exploratorium of San Francisco, California.
With hands-on exhibits like MakerKids, Tinkerer’s Workshop and related programming, Austin Children’s Museum delivers on its mission to equip and inspire the next generation of creative problem solvers. Children and families can discover their inner geek with the many fun, educational experiences available for them to do together at the Museum all summer long.
Museum Hours:
Monday: Noon-5pm (through August 31)
Tuesday-Saturday: 10am-5pm
Community Night Wednesday: 5-8pm (admission by donation, suggested $1)
Sunday: Noon-5pm (4-5pm FREE)
Admission:
$6.50 per person
$4.50 per child 12-13 months
Children under 12 months are FREE
