9/29/2009 - ACM Announces Dates for Engineering Saturday
ACM kicks off Engineering Saturday, a program which allows kids to explore engineering through hands-on activities.
Austin Children’s Museum, with support from the Monsanto Fund, kicks off Engineering Saturday, a program which allows children and their families to explore engineering through playful, hands-on activities led by students from The University of Texas’s Cockrell School of Engineering.
On select Saturdays, visitors can participate in engineering challenges which may include designing a catapult, building a working circuit or creating sailboat cars. Activities are led in the Tinkerer’s Workshop, a permanent exhibit at ACM, and are changing all the time.
Children and their families can enjoy Engineering Saturday on select Saturdays at Austin Children’s Museum from 10 am to noon. Fall dates for Engineering Saturday are October 3, 24 and 31, and November 7 and 14. Price is included in admission.
