2/8/2007 - "Once Upon a Time Signature"
Austin Classical Guitar Society Presents “Once Upon a Time Signature”
at Austin Children’s Museum on Feb. 24
Austin, Texas (February 8, 2007) – The Austin Children’s Museum and the Austin Classical Guitar Society will be hosting Once Upon a Time Signature performed by Rami Vamos and Walker Lewis on Saturday, February 24 at 12 p.m. This whimsical piece is written for elementary- age children, but can be enjoyed by those of all ages.
Audiences will be delighted and their musical imaginations set free by the two dynamic, New York-based singing actors that brought the Fantastic Tale of Prince Pickles of Guitaristan to Austin last year. This creative show will keep everybody laughing.
The show was conceived by guitarist, Rami Vamos who has composed several solo and chamber compositions. His works have been performed around the nation by many well known artists such as Marc Teicholz, Keith Underwood and Amy Oshiro. Vamos received his BA from Oberlin Conservatory and completed his MA at Yale University School of Music. He regularly receives commissions to write and perform music for children in the New York City area.
This performance is included with museum admission. For more information visit www.austinkids.org or call 472-2499.
