REPORTS TO: STORE MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide high quality friendly service to visitors through the box office and store to achieve a pleasant and informative experience. Efficiently operate the computer system to ensure visitors have excellent
interaction while purchasing admission and Museum merchandise. Maintain efficient office
operations associated with the opening tasks and closing procedures.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet each visitor in a friendly manner
• Process all transactions quickly and accurately
• Consistently promote events by informing visitors of new and special events to match visitors' needs
• Serve on the membership sales team promoting Museum membership
• Maintain attractive appearance and orderliness of admission area and entire store
• Maintain proper merchandise display, store neatness and restocking as necessary
• Maintain highest possible standard of customer service and information
• Complete paperwork and cash verification as required by Museum procedure
• Unpack and price orders as directed by store manager, including disposal of packing materials.
• Assist with taking physical inventory
• Work with full time staff to provide assistance to visitors and staff with questions, problems, or concerns. Exemplify customer service standards at all times and amicably resolve matters with discontented customers
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and special staff meetings
• Serve as host to a minimum of 3 birthday parties/facility rentals per month
• Other duties as assigned
CREDENTIALS/EXPERIENCE
• Special consideration given to bi-lingual applicants

• Ability to engage children and adults in an energetic, friendly, positive and professional manner
• Strong, professional customer service skills
• Ability to work with staff and public from diverse backgrounds
